African Trophies possesses the most comprehensive range of African arts, African crafts, African clothing, African fabrics, African literature, African music, African Carvings, East African Carvings, West African Carvings and other artifacts outside the African continent. Our current collection includes items from over 26 countries of Africa, and the items have been individually selected with an eye to insure that only the most exquisite products of the continent are presented.

Mission Statement

African Trophies was conceived in response to a perception of a continuing need to heighten awareness and appreciation within the Carribbean Section of the African Diaspora, of the tremendous variety, beauty and depth of African artistic and cultural development, and to assist in reestablishing much needed contact with our cultural heritage. The concept of "Trophies" is consonant with the idea of going on a proverbial safari through the African forests and savannahs and returning with invaluable treasures procurred in the hunt. The treasures of African Trophies cover a wide range of areas, the most exquisite pieces of which are intended, not for sale to individuals for private enjoyment, but for continuing exhibition in our veritable museum.

Consistent with its objectives, African Trophies seeks to expose to the population at large, the fullest possible range of artistic and cultural development: hand-carved furniture and handicrafts, artifacts in wood, stone, leather and metal, basketry, garments, fabric, jewelry and semi-precious stones, literature, music and musical instruments, cultural videos, fine art, and anything that in any way reflects the cultural development of the people of the continent.
